The Team

Alan Louis Gordon
Founder | Senior Colorist

Born and raised in New Orleans, Alan attended NOCCA|Riverfront school where he specialized in Media Arts. He moved up to New York for NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where as a DIT, he worked on the Academy Award winning short film, Curfew.

In 2010, Alan transitioned to post-production and color grading where his eye for color and detail, as well as his technical skills, brought about work on feature films, commercials, and music videos. The films have screened at numerous festivals around the world including Sundance, Toronto, Berlin, SXSX, and Tribeca. His clients include Beyonce, Vogue, NBCUniversal, Budweiser, Knob Creek, Ford, and iHeartRadio.

Though now he considers himself a New Yorker, New Orleans will always be close to Alan’s heart. The company name is a nod to Alan’s famous gumbo recipe, which draws friends in every time he cooks up a batch. Atticus, his Golden Retriever, is currently auditioning to be an instagram star.

Josh Senior

The first thing you need to know about Josh is: He lives to tell the best possible story with the most possible style. That’s why you’ll find him producing, directing and running his two award-winning studios – LEROI (production) and Senior Post (post-production) in Brooklyn, NY. That is, when he’s not running after his two boys.

Powerhouses like Vevo, Facebook, HBO, and VICE turn to Josh given his track record of identifying trends in branded and editorial content early and working fast without sacrificing one iota of quality. Not to mention the content strategy, story development and end-to-end execution that won his team a CLIO in 2014.

We welcome Mr. Senior in a producing role at Post Pro Gumbo as he keeps all of our projects running smoothly. Lila, Josh’s Cockapoo has been known to stop by the office to give feedback on color sessions.

Dimitris Athos

Dimitris Athos was born and raised in New York City and attended United Nations International School (UNIS) and NYU Tisch School of the Arts. In the fall of 2004, he joined BEFILM The Underground Film Festival team as Program Director. The 2D and 3D short films he programs have garnered over 20 Academy Award nominations and 6 Academy Award wins.

Over the years, Dimitris has worked as producer and co-writer on over thirty short and feature films. Mr. Athos has also worked as a 3D Stereoscopic Producer for various production companies including UVPHACTORY and Heavy Light Digital. He has produced, among others, the first 3D Fashion Show in the US, the first Juilliard Dance in 3D and the first 3D HFR (High Frame Rate) short film “Genesis 3D” directed by Noah Shulman and Stereographer Alonso Homs. Additional clients include Bergdorf Goodman, FIT, Ralph Lauren, & Lincoln Plaza Cinemas.

We welcome Mr. Athos to Post Pro Gumbo. He brings his extensive experience in theatrical delivery formats in 2D, 3D, 4K and HFR. Additionally, Dimitris adds his insight to various currently “undocumented” formats that we will see in the future. Nico, his Formosan Dog, will also join the team in an as yet unspecified support role.

We have formed a strategic partnership with Senior Post, an award-winning full-service post production house. This alignment creates a one-stop shop for a production—editorial, sound design, motion graphics, VFX—all under one roof.

Friends and Collaborators

Chukwuemeka “Chuck” Aligbe helped design our brand new logo and started the design process of our new look. Check out his other design work at:

Onuorah “Mark” Aligbe is Chuck’s brother and a computer engineer who has helped design our DCP workflow, as well as one of our color grading computer rigs that enables us to work fluidly in 4k, 3D, and VR.

Merrick M. Lee shot to fame with his Black History App, but we know him as the designer of this very website. He’s put up with our very demanding specifications, coding much of the site from scratch.
